Back in Arlington
Wednesday, 22 October: I spent last night in New York, where I pretty much did nothing but talk on the phone, photograph my tattoos, and sleep. Today I had some sushi before catching the bus home. I really don't have much to say in this post, I just wanted to make sure you are all aware that there are pics of the tattoo on my flickr, and point out that I have now added a link to youtube videos. There is nothing good there yet, but now that I have set up the account, I will make an effort.

I know I said this already... but those tats are so AWESOME!!!! Love them!!
i love your tattooooos toooo! also, i miss you. also, i will use the telephone soon and call and hear you talking soon. maybe this weekend?
Your tattoos are works of art! And they are so you! (I mean that in a very positive way, in case there is any doubt.) I really enjoyed looking at the artist's other works on the link you provided. The bike on the DNA trail is very cool. Your idea? That would be my guess.....
I also love them. And thanks for the clarification, Peg :) The ideas of scientist, DNA and bike were all mine, but the artist is the one who put them together in such a pleasing manner.
We loved the tats too! From a distance we imagine they look like body art. The personal story is great.
Are the leaves any redder on that coast? Seattle is starting to turn too.
Hi Cheri,
WOW! We sure had some major blogging to catch up on. We should be good now, with the new laptop and wireless everything.
Sure enjoyed your view, opinions and description on NY Cheri. I'm sure if you asked 10 people you would get ten different descriptions huh?
Peg, you sure nailed the 5000 miles down a few blogs ago.
That is some great artwork all right Cheri. Those were a couple good ideas to put together. Now after you give your ideas to the person, do they sketch it on paper first? Guess I just showed my ignorance about tat places huh?
You sure have built quite the calf muscles there girl.
Don't worry, Mom, all tattoo artists work differently, so you don't have to feel ignorant. This guy drew directly on my legs, then photographed it and let me look at it for a while, to decide if I liked it, before he started tattooing. Once he tattooed in the basic lines of the picture, and it didn't matter if his drawings rinsed off, he was able to put something on my legs that numbed them while he did the rest of the work. I actually dozed off a little while he was working.
The leaves are a sight to behold. There are so many different colors.
